ECOFITEXT’s business model incorporates a holistic approach that has many benefits in the agricultural value-chain.
For every ton of banana fruit produced 2 tons of plant mass is wasted and this waste is the base of our manufacturing process.
To stop and reverse the effect of global warming, it is necessary to replace non-renewable, non-degradable and synthetic materials with renewable, biodegradable, and natural materials.
The world population is growing and must be fed. However, cultivable areas are limited. And plantations intended for food production face competition from crops for utilitarian purposes, such as cotton for example. Banana fibre uses seven times less water per ton produced than cotton and twelve times less fertilisers. Bananas remain the best solution to produce both food and fibres.

Our Vision
Our Mission
